JAPAN BANCHA – Top quality bancha from Kagoshima. Late harvest delicious green tea with notes of toast and a haunting finish. Mild flavour. Suitable for drinking at any time of day.

JAPAN FUKUJYU – Superior sencha type tea from Kagoshima made using the youngest first and second flush green leaf.

JAPAN GENMAICHA – Also known as Popcorn Tea. Japanese green tea blended with roasted and popped rice. The infusion is a light, golden yellow liquor with a unique, toasty rice flavour and a hint of natural sweetness.

JAPAN HOJICHA – Roasted green tea from Kagoshima with full-bodied character and cinnamon-like toast notes.

JAPAN KUKICHA – Also known as Winter Tea. From Kagoshima. Like the branches of winter trees, stripped of their leaves, Kukicha is made with the leafless stalks, stems and twigs left behind after Sencha production.

JAPANESE SENCHA (Harney & Sons) – Award-winning sencha from the central Shizuoka province. Vacuum packed foil wrapped 112gram block.

ORGANIC SENCHA AKAIKE – An excellent luxury green tea for everyday drinking from Kagoshima. Certified organic. A medium-bodied Sencha that tends lightly vegetative with hints of cut grass. Known to be high in polyphenols. The infusion is avocado-like green with brightness.

SENCHA KAKAGAWA – An excellent luxury green tea from Kagoshima for everyday drinking. Cup tends light and smooth with reasonable depth and body. Often used in tea ceremonies. The infusion is pale yellow green.

Brewing suggestion: Half a level or heaped teaspoon per cup. Infuse for 3 minutes (according to taste) with freshly boiled water that is around 180F or 80C. Able to be reinfused. NOT compatible with milk.
