Darjeeling Teas

DARJEELING MARGARET’S HOPE – A luxury black tea (tippy golden flavoury orange pekoe grade) from the famed Margaret’s Hope tea garden. Second flush. It has a delicate tending astringent cup with a distinctive “Muscatel” character. Hints of currant create an almost wine-like taste. The infusion is bright, tending light. Weak to medium strength.

DARJEELING MIM – A luxury black tea (tippy golden flavoury orange pekoe grade) from the MIM tea garden in the Darjeeling area of Northern India. Second flush. Grown at high altitude and in relatively cool weather. Good body with a classic muscatel character. The infusion is bright, tending light. Weak to medium strength.

DARJEELING TUKDAH – A luxury black tea (tippy golden flowery orange pekoe grade) from Darjeeling grown high in the hills below the soaring majesty of the Himalayas. First flush. It has a lovely muscatel character with a hint of nuttiness. The infusion is bright, lively and full of flavor. Weak to medium strength. (formerly DARJEELING GING)

DARJEELING SUPERIOR OOLONG – Superior blend of Darjeeling and Oolong. Weak to medium strength.

Brewing suggestion: 1 level or 1 heaped teaspoon per cup (depending on strength desired and whether milk is added). Add freshly boiled water. Infuse for 3-7 minutes according to taste. Compatible with milk, but best without.
